


Police personnel charged water jets and shot tear gas shells to disperse the protesters who surrounded the Constitutional Assembly (CA) hall in New Baneshwor on Tuesday afternoon demanding that Nepal be declared a Hindu kingdom in the new constitution.Police intervened the protests spearheaded by Rastriya Prajatantra Party Nepal (RPP-N), which has championed the cause of Hindu state. The protest saw the huge participation of RPP-N cadres, Nepali Congress lawmakers and former ministers, Khum Bahadur Khadka and religious persons including sadhus led by Kamalayancharya.Meanwhile, the protesters pelted stones at the security personnel. The RPP-N cadres had gathered at the Tripureshwor before heading to New Baneshwor with stern protest program.
